Scott Lagasse Jr. and the #11 America's Incredible
Pizza Company (AIPC) race team are in Daytona
preparing for the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS)
season opening race at Daytona International
Speedway this Saturday.
If todays practice is an indication of how the week is
going to be for Lagasse and the CJM
team, it could be BIG!
The team set FAST time after todays practice and they
will work hard in the final practice tomorrow to build on
the momentum for qualifying on Friday.
"We are very focused as a team, everyone knows how
competitive this series is and we're all pulling in the
same direction." said Lagasse Jr.
Scott Jr. says he's been waiting a long time for his first
full season in NASCAR.
"This is the opportunity that I've been dreaming of for a
long time. I can't quit grinning. It's been an amazing
off-season for me. I've been able to relax and enjoy
seeing my family and spending some time with Paul
Wolfe (crew chief), Brent Weaver (general manager),
the team owners and the guys on the team."
"I'm ready to get the season started, we might
surprise some people with this small, young team.
We are all hungry and have been working really hard."
CJM Racing and Toyota have joined forces in 2009
and will be running the No. 11 America's
Incredible Pizza Company in a Toyota Camry.
Final Practice will be tomorrow at 9:30 am (EST) and
will be televised on ESPN2.
Qualifying will be on Friday at 3:00pm (EST) on
ESPN2 and the Camping World 300 race will be on
Saturday at 1:15 PM (EST) on ESPN2. |
